Born on 10 July 1944. In the humble beginning of the start of his career as a mechanic in the Army he used to get Rs. 50 only as a monthly salary during 1964-65. Therefore, in the course of time there has been many highs and lows in his life. But, he challenged himself with mind and body to combat against many odds being honest and true to himself without losing his confidence. lastly, it took him close to 20 long weary years to achieve his aim. Coincidently, Diana Rankin's quote befits in the success epitome of author to aptly express as, ‘It takes twenty years of hard work to become an overnight success.’ Evidently author wishes his success and fame to live for ever as their goes a Latin proverb to say, ‘fama simper vivat.’

In, 40 years of long outstanding service and experiences, both in Olive green uniform and in civies in various capacity, was indeed a pretty good length of time to learn many lessons from all walks of life. Further, his never-say-die spirit and monumental patience taught him to always remain calm and cool in difficult days as they rightly say, in Latin, ‘Aequam memento rebus in arduis servare men tem.’

Finally, in the space of time author achieved success in 1984. Thereafter, a genuine desire churned in his mind to write a book on inspiration and motivation. However a bit difficult but was dear to his heart. Consequently, the book partly based on his experiences is in your hands like a light from many lamps.

In brief, author, has been associated with Corp of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) since 1964 to 2001 with significant contributions. His wealth of knowledge coaxed his optimism and motivated him to write books after his retirement. With the result, author has written a book on technical matters for the troops. And time to time his many articles have appeared in Hindustan Times. Currently, He is working on the manuscripts of some other books to give its final shape. As a matter of fact author believes on, ‘You have not done enough, you have never done enough, so long as it is still possible that you have something to contribute.’ As Dag Hammerskjöld said.
