Pustak.org is dedicated to promoting Hindi around the world. It is an effort undertaken by some like minded people to research, collect and eventually present as much information about Hindi literature, as has ever been published in any form. We have started this endeavor in 2004 and have been assiduously working to collect Hindi books. This particularly becomes challenging due to non availability of Hindi books which are out of print. We are continuously collecting more and more books everyday. We request our readers to come forward and suggest Hindi or Indian Books which we have missed so far. Since many of these books are out of print for a long time, it would be really helpful if readers could send us the titles of the books and name of the author. Pustak.org can send Hindi books to any part of the world at optimized shipping process and rates. We are thankful to the readers who have been taking active advantage of this system.

Hindi as a language and its charming literature has descended from Sanskrit by the way of Pali, Prakrit and Apbhransh form. In past 800 years, words from other languages such Arabic, Farsi and English have found there way to the languages spoken in Indian subcontinent. As a result modern Hindi also includes many words which have been adopted from other languages. One of the best way of learning about Indian culture is through the writings of Indian authors. There work gives us a perspective and understanding of the Indian life in their times.

We urge our readers to send their guidance and requests about our site and Hindi literature in general, so we can continue our progress. Please take a moment and send your ideas to us by emails to: suchna@pustak.org.
